Old Vicarage care home set to welcome local community

It’s National Care Home Open Day this week and The Old Vicarage care home in Clay Cross, Derbyshire, is looking forward to opening its doors to the local community.

Everyone is invited to pop in and enjoy a day of activities and entertainment at the home in Stretton Road, which starts at 11am on Friday, June 17th.

There will be refreshments throughout the day, whilst the ever popular Terry Wood will be performing a selection of songs guaranteed to get everyone dancing at 2pm.

Home manager Karen Betts said: “National Care Home Open Day is a fantastic chance for the local community to meet some really unique, intelligent and charming characters and The Old Vicarage has no shortage of these.

“We are looking forward to a fun, entertaining day with the local community, whilst our care team and staff members will be on hand to provide an insight into what it’s like to live and work at The Old Vicarage. We will also be giving advice to those who are helping a loved one make the transition and talking through our pioneering dementia practices.”
