As a family-run company, our team members bring our values and culture to life. From our head office support team, through to our Home Managers and Care Assistants, our team is friendly, caring and always on hand to help.

Meet some of our team

I founded the service 30 years ago and still enjoy close involvement. I've always ensured that our homes are of a quality that I would be happy for my parents to live in. Both my parents have recently stayed at one of the homes and I was so pleased, from a relative's perspective, that both were comfortable and happy during their stay. It reinforced my pride in what we do.

Managing Director: Dave Lock


I have been the Operations Director for Adept Care Homes for more than 7 years. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience within the care sector and my role is to ensure that the homes run smoothly and that resident's health, well-being and happiness is at the heart of what we do. My particular specialism is in the care of people with Dementia.

Operations Director: Emma Philpott


I am Head of Accounts for Adept Care Homes and have worked for the company for 27 years. In 1989 we started out with one care home and now we have seven so I have seen many changes over the years. I am proud that my team are very dedicated and committed to offering a personal and efficient service to our residents and their families. My dad currently resides at one of our homes.

Hello, my name is Catherine. I am a Chartered Physiotherapist and I have worked as part of the Adept team for three years. I believe all our residents should be offered support to maintain their independence, personal safety and confidence to carry on performing activities of daily living. My role is to meet every new resident to assess mobility, falls risk and personal safety awareness. We then work to ensure our residents are free to enjoy living safely and happily in their new home.

Physiotherapy Manager: Catherine Lock


I have been the Training Manager for Adept for over two years after holding similar roles within the same field. As a qualified trainer, I am extremely passionate about delivering high standards of support to our team members to ensure that they can provide the best possible care to our residents.

I joined Adept Care Homes in January 2017 as Quality Director. Prior to my appointment, I was Chief Operations Officer at St John Ambulance in London where I spent 8 years. After completing an MBA, I held a number of Managing Director positions within the Telecoms and Media sectors. I look forward to sharing my breadth of knowledge and experience to ensure that we continue to offer quality care to our residents and reassurance to families that residents are at the heart of everything we do.
