Adept’s newest care home which is set to open in Hucknall next year has been named as ‘Harrier House’.
The name, selected from a competition run by the group, has been chosen for its historical link to the town and also the home’s location which is adjacent to the Harrier Park development site.
Dave Lock, Adept Care Homes Managing Director said: “We had an overwhelming response from our team and the public to our competition to choose a name for our new care home in Hucknall which will provide affordable luxury and quality care. Our aim to be a superb place to live and work is supported by our commitment to engaging and involving the communities we are located in, and this name is a perfect reflection of that. Harrier House will be located on the former Rolls Royce land, with fantastic transport links and access to all areas of Hucknall.”
Replicating its successful, ‘small community living model’, Adept plans to create 6 care suites of 14 large en-suite bedrooms at Harrier House giving residents a more intimate personalised care from a dedicated care team. Each suite will be purposefully designed to include its own lounge and dining facilities together with a lifestyle kitchen to enable residents to do the things they have always done, from baking cakes to laying the table for dinner. Additional ‘hotel-like’ facilities will include a pub, cinema, hair salon and shop.
Anne-Marie Robinson, Adept’s Compliance Manager and winner of tickets to see Ed Sheeran at Wembley, added: “I’m delighted my name was chosen for our newest care home,”.
