Kiwi House Care Home Hosts Spectacular Kiwifest 2025 Summer Celebration
Derby, Saturday 5th July 2025 — Kiwi House Care Home pulled out all the stops this weekend as residents, families, team members, and local visitors came together for the home’s first-ever summer festival: Kiwifest 2025.
Held on Saturday 5th July, the day was filled with sunshine, smiles, and the vibrant sounds of live music, creating a joyful festival atmosphere right in the heart of Derby. Guests enjoyed a jam-packed schedule of entertainment, delicious food and drink, a popular festival glam station, and fun-filled garden games — all capped off by a showstopping performance from the home’s very own Kiwi Chorus Choir at 4pm.
In keeping with Kiwi House’s warm and inclusive spirit, the event brought the whole home and community together. There was no shortage of resident involvement and energy, with many helping to create decorations and welcoming visitors with their usual friendly charm.
“We’re absolutely thrilled with the success of our first Kiwifest,” said Jeanette Heath, Home Manager at Kiwi House. “It was a true celebration of everything that makes our home so special — laughter, music, and togetherness. Seeing residents, families, and guests enjoying the day together was incredibly heartwarming.”
Visitors were treated to a range of festival delights, with entertainment and refreshments running throughout the day. Supporting the Residents’ Social Fund, helping to fund ongoing activities and trips throughout the year.
The Kiwi House team is already looking ahead to making Kiwifest an annual tradition.
“This is just the beginning,” added Jeanette. “We’re so proud of how the day brought our community together. We can’t wait to do it all again next year — even bigger and better!”
