Using a selection of twelve ingredients, Bowood Court’s residents worked alongside the Activities and Kitchen Team to bake a delicious batch of blueberry, lemon and white chocolate chip muffins with poppy seeds. The attention to detail and commitment from the residents certainly impressed the judges.

One resident, Barbara Parsons, shared:

“It’s been a lovely morning baking together!”

The judging panel, that included Luke Arnold, Adept Care Homes’ HR Advisor, praised this bake for its flavour combination.

“These muffins are full of flavour– a brilliant effort from everyone!”

The event brought a buzz of creativity and teamwork to the home, with residents excited to get involved, whilst sharing stories and laughter along the way.

The Ready Steady Cook competition has not only showcased the great talents of our residents, but has also encouraged teamwork, connection and reminiscence. We are incredibly proud of everyone at Bowood Court for the enthusiasm, care and dedication that went into each step of the way.
