Residents from Bowood Court Care Home in Redditch were full of festive spirit after taking part in the much-loved Adept Christmas Choir Competition, held at the beautiful St Catherine’s Church in Burbage.
The day was filled with laughter, music and Christmas magic as choirs from across Adept Care Homes came together to perform their chosen festive songs. Bowood Court’s large choir delivered a powerful and uplifting performance, earning them the trophy for Best Large Choir.

Their voices rang out through the church, filling the space with warmth, confidence and seasonal cheer. With big smiles and festive sparkle, the choir’s performance captured the true joy of Christmas.
“It felt amazing to sing together — we had a good laugh and really felt the Christmas spirit,” said one resident. “Winning was the icing on the Christmas cake!”
After the performances, residents enjoyed a traditional fish and chip lunch from Burbage Fisheries, sharing stories and laughter before trophies were presented by Father Andrew and the church’s Choir Master, rounding off a joyful celebration.
Kenny Nelson, Managing Director for Adept, added:
“Seeing so many residents come together through music, laughter and celebration is what Christmas is all about. It was a wonderful day.”
