Residents at Moat House Care Home in Burbage were treated to a delightful surprise last week when Graham, a charming Shetland sheep, came to visit!
Thanks to Donna, Graham’s dedicated owner, this special guest brought endless smiles and warmth to everyone’s day. Residents were thrilled to meet the gentle and friendly sheep, enjoying the chance to pet him and learn about his life on the farm.

“Seeing the residents’ faces light up was truly heartwarming,” said Paul Bundyford, Home Manager at Moat House. “Graham’s visit brought so much joy and sparked fond memories of animals and countryside life for many of our residents.”
Animal visits like Graham’s are part of Moat House’s commitment to creating memorable and enriching resident experiences. The positive impact of spending time with animals has been well-documented, and Graham’s visit was no exception—it left everyone feeling uplifted and connected.
Moat House Care Home would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Donna and Graham for their time and kindness. We look forward to welcoming more furry (or woolly!) friends in the future!
