Margarets Milestone Birthday
Margaret is delivered a birthday telegram from the queen by ‘special’ bus service

Margaret Webb (99), a former Redditch bus conductor celebrates her 100th Birthday at her home, Bowood Court and Mews Care Home on Saturday 19th September 2020.

Bowood Court and Mews arranged for a very special delivery. A local bus company, Diamond Buses ran a special 3 o’clock service to deliver a bouquet of flowers and a letter from the Queen, together with lavish celebrations, live entertainment and a surprise family visit to mark this, her milestone 100th birthday.

“We were very proud to be part of Margaret’s special day and wish her very many happy returns. Margaret who used to be a Bus Conductress and still has a great interest in buses was delighted to see her own special bus service arrive at her 100th Birthday celebrations,” said a spokesperson for Diamond Buses.

Margaret says “the key to a long and happy life is a good cooked breakfast, being happy, and enjoying life. My years as a bus conductor gave me great pleasure as I was always able to meet new people and since moving into Bowood I have met some wonderful people too. They do a great breakfast too” she chuckled.

Margaret enjoys her birthday breakfast.
