It has been announced that BBC’s Our Dementia Choir is set to join former BBC 9’O’clock News Presenter and Alzheimer’s Society Ambassador, Angela Rippon to officially open Harrier House Care Home this July. (July 1st 2023)
The residents, their relatives and the team at Harrier House are excited for the long-awaited Grand Opening which had to be rescheduled due to covid restrictions. Adept Care Homes will be hosting a lavish grand open ceremony for their newest care home, Harrier House in Hucknall.
The special event will be held at Harrier House on Saturday 1st July from 11am – 3pm and will be open to members of the public. Angela will be meeting the residents, their families, and the team whilst everyone is invited to enjoy live entertainment from BBC’s Our Dementia Choir and Harrier House respite resident, Mike. Back in 2019, Alzheimer’s Society Ambassador Vicky McClure started her search for choir members, bringing together specialists from the fields of medicine, music therapy, and performance.
There will be plenty of opportunities during the event to take a tour of the home, speak to the team including the dedicated Dementia Manager, Karen Middleton as well as discuss employment opportunities at Adept Care Homes.
