Bowood Court & Mews Care Home scooped two awards for Dementia Care and End Of Life Care at the annual Adept Excellence Awards Gala Night.
The home who prides itself in providing ‘a superb place to live or work’ was recognised for its efforts over the past 12 months.
“We are also proud that we have achieved the Dementia Care award. At Bowood Court & Mews, our dementia care has a simple, person-first approach. We recognise that dementia care can be complex and is unique to everyone. We put our residents’ needs at the heart of everything we do, promoting their independence, choice, and dignity,” said Vicki Walker, Bowood Mews Manager.
“I am very pleased that our work in End-of-Life Care has been recognised. We understand the need for excellent communication with family members and we strive to ensure residents and their families are well informed so that they can focus on the important things in life. We are exceptionally proud of our home and the hard work that goes on to make it the vibrant, happy place it is to live and work,” said Bradley Lloyd, End of Life Care Champion at Bowood.
“What a great outcome, so well earned and deserved. Huge congratulations to you all,” said Renee, a resident at Bowood Court & Mews.
“I cannot begin to tell you how proud we are of you all. This is not just a ‘home’ it’s a family. Well done to each and every one of you. This is so well deserved. Congratulations,” concluded Wendy Moore, daughter of resident.
