Bowood Court Care Home has been named Best for Food, Dining and Nutrition at the prestigious Care Home Awards 2025, held last Friday in London. The award recognises Bowood Court’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional, nutritious, and inclusive dining experiences for its residents.
This national win marks another proud moment for the Redditch-based home following an impressive 2024, during which Bowood was praised for its expert approach to Level 4 dysphagia-friendly meals and its strong entry in the Creed Care Chef of the Year awards.

“We’re absolutely thrilled,” said Pauline Vernon, Home Manager at Bowood Court. “Mealtimes are a cherished part of the day, and our team works incredibly hard to make them nourishing, safe, and joyful for every resident—regardless of dietary needs. This award is a huge testament to their passion and creativity.”
The recognition came during a glittering ceremony that celebrated excellence across the adult social care sector. Hosted in London, the Care Home Awards brought together leading organisations from across the UK to honour innovation, quality, and outstanding practice.
Bowood Court is part of the Adept Care Homes group, which also celebrated a hugely successful evening:
Best for Sustainability Initiative (Winner)
Specialist Dementia Care (Highly Commended)
Outstanding Smaller Care Group (up to 10 homes) – Winner for the second year running
Kenny Nelson, Managing Director of Adept Care Homes, commented:
“To win across multiple categories—and particularly in food, which is so vital to quality of life—is an incredible honour. These awards reflect the heart our teams pour into their work every single day.”
Bowood Court continues to lead by example in championing dignified dining, person-centred nutrition, and culinary excellence within care. From themed dining days to tailored mealtime support, every effort is made to ensure food is not just sustenance, but a meaningful and enjoyable experience.
