Their working days may be over, but thanks to a local accountancy firm, care home residents have enjoyed being part of a work’s Christmas party once again!
“It was fantastic, everyone was very friendly. I didn’t expect to attend another work’s Christmas party, but how lovely of them all to invite us along to theirs,” said Brian Beech, from Kiwi House Care Home, Derby.
PKF Cooper Parry decided to invite residents from Kiwi House Care Home to its staff Christmas lunch, which also saw a festive choir performance, a tombola and all guests received a present!
“I have had a wonderful afternoon. I enjoyed every part of it but my favourite was the choir,” said Dave Waldie, a fellow resident at Kiwi House who attended the Christmas Party at PKF’s offices on Thursday 13thDecember.
PKF Cooper Parry, People Engagement Manager, Laura Hill explained: “We are passionate about the communities in which we operate. Our focus on social isolation in particular prompted us to invite local care home residents to our Christmas party. It’s a lovely time of year and we wanted to include other members of our community in our celebrations. It was lovely to see everyone having such a great time!”
