Community Spirit Shines at Harrier House Care Home’s Blue Light Breakfast

Residents and team members at Harrier House Care Home recently hosted a special Blue Light Breakfast, welcoming local healthcare professionals and emergency services workers for a well-deserved morning of delicious food and heartfelt appreciation.

This event was made even more special as it coincided with the home’s monthly Mums and Tots group, creating a wonderful intergenerational experience. Children were especially excited to tour a real fire engine, while both residents and little ones enjoyed chatting with firefighters and other emergency workers about the crucial work they do to keep the community safe.

“We love opening our doors to our local heroes and bringing the community together,” said Samantha Kavanagh, Home Manager. “Seeing residents, young families, and emergency workers sharing stories, learning from each other, and enjoying each other’s company was truly heartwarming.”

The Blue Light Breakfast is just one of the many ways Harrier House Care Home continues to forge strong community connections, celebrating those who serve while creating joyful moments for residents and visitors alike.
