Focus on Dignity at Moat House Care Home

1st February 2018: On Dignity Action Day today, residents at Hinckley’s luxury Moat House Care Home held a special ‘digni-tea’ – an afternoon tea gathering dedicated to dignity!

“Spending time together baking in our vintage kitchen, residents and members of our care team talked about dignity and it’s importance before enjoying a slice of dignity cake together! Thoughts on what dignity means ranged from ‘being listened to’ to ‘keeping my pride’ and ‘staying an individual’,” said Nicky French, Moat House Home Manager.

Dave Lock, Adept Care Homes Managing Director added: “Dignity is a key part of our culture at all our homes. We pledge to ensure residents and our wonderful care team are treated with respect and dignity everyday, but today provided a great opportunity for everyone to really think about what dignity means to them.’
