Kiwi House Care Home offers residential, dementia, respite, and daycare in Alvaston
This family-run care home in Alvaston, Derby offers award-winning, luxury and high-quality residential and dementia care. Our friendly, well-trained team ensures person-centred care with residents encouraged to lead an enriched life, supported by our engaging social programme packed full of clubs, trips out, and regular entertainment.
Each care suite has lounges, lifestyle kitchens and dining rooms, a range of large en-suite bedrooms, cinema, pub, hair salon and spa bathrooms. Overlooking Kiwi Park, our pleasant sensory gardens have patio seating areas. Residents with dementia are supported with sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes.

Our Activities
Our residents enjoy a varied and engaging program of activities and events, designed to enhance the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of all our residents. From creative activities such as painting, baking and gardening, to regular visits from entertainers such as singers, dancers and musicians, religious services and outings, our activities are intended to inspire and engage our residents as individuals and as a community.

Our Facilities
We have a great choice of lifestyle facilities within the home, including spa bathrooms, a hair salon and nail bar, The Woolpack Pub and the Flicks Cinema where our residents regularly get together to watch their choice of film.
With six separate care suites, each with its own restaurant-style dining room and lifestyle kitchen, as well as a café, our residents have a great choice of dining options. We take pride in offering high-quality food, chosen by our residents and prepared by our experienced catering team.

🦮🐾 SURPRISE VISITS FROM OUR FURRY FRIENDS 🐾🦮
We recently welcomed Ray the Therapy Dog to Kiwi House, along with his wonderful owner Helen, for an afternoon of cuddles! It brought many smiles to our faces seeing Ray waltz around our home, and relax with us in our lounges 😁
It is known that pet therapy increases self-esteem and confidence for those living with Dementia, as well as alleviating any intruding thoughts of anxiety and improving communication.

🎱 Brian's Make a Wish at Stapleford Cue Club 🎱
Our Fairy Godparents successfully granted Brian's 'Make A Wish' last week to visit Stapleford Cue Club and play a snooker tournament with his fellow residents! We enjoyed a glass or two of our favoured tipple to toast to the special occasion during our games 🍻 It was a great afternoon, we all loved spending time together and getting competitive!

We ask that you do not visit if you feel unwell. You may resume visiting 3 days after you feel better following symptoms like cough, cold, high temperature, diarrhea, vomiting, etc.
