Residents from Kiwi House Care Home, Derby, proudly took home the title of Best Overall Choir at Adept Care Homes’ much-loved annual Christmas Choir Competition, held on Thursday, 5th December at St. Catherine’s Church in Burbage, Leicestershire.
This cherished event brings together resident choirs from all Midlands-based Adept Care Homes to celebrate the festive season through song, camaraderie, and community spirit. Each choir performed a song they had been rehearsing for months, followed by a magical group performance featuring all choirs singing together in harmony.
Kiwi House’s captivating performance earned them the top accolade, with judges praising their unity, vocal quality, and festive spirit. After the performances, residents enjoyed a traditional fish and chip lunch from Burbage Fisheries, along with mince pies and mulled wine lovingly prepared by residents in their baking club.
