Residents at family-run, Moat House Care Home, which provides award winning affordable luxury and quality care, enjoyed an afternoon of glitz and glamour with a special Strictly Come Dancing event.
A number of residents took part and had been practicing their showstopper routine for a number of weeks. Each contestant performed in front of a live audience of residents, guests and the care team and in true strictly fashion, were scored by a panel of judges.
Jean Grice, Moat House resident said, “Our Strictly afternoon was great fun. I took part and performed a foxtrot. I was a bit nervous but I’m glad I did it, I loved wearing my ballroom dress most of all.”
Nicky French, Moat House Home Manager, added: “Our Strictly event was a tremendous success. It was fantastic to see residents getting involved and as always, they were well supported by both our team and their friends and family.
“Whilst obviously a lot of fun, this event is an example of our diverse activities programme which specifically includes activities based on their impact on residents physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. My thanks to all involved in the event which is part of a programme of activities to ensure we meet our aim of being a superb place to live or work.”
