Moat House Care Home in Burbage, part of family-run Adept Care Homes, has been awarded a High Commendation for Best Staff Retention and Recruitment in the national Care Home Awards 2023. The Adept Care Homes group of 7 homes, including Moat House also received a High Commendation for Outstanding Small Care Provider for the third year running.
The Care Home Awards is one of the most highly regarded accolades available in the UK’s health and social care sector which celebrates the good work, innovative thinking and excellence in care which continue to drive the sector. Home Manager, Hayley Langley surprised the residents and the team with the exciting news at Moat House.
“It’s amazing that our hard work has been recognised, The Moat House team is fundamental to residents’ experiences of care and their quality of life. The past years have created additional pressures and challenges throughout the industry, and Brexit has impacted heavily on recruitment. We have worked to improve the recruitment process and encourage team retention which ensures the Moat House team feels valued at work and receives good training while building robust team relationships,” said Neil Blackwood, HR Manager for Adept Care Homes and Moat House Care Home.
