Moat House Care Home in Burbage, Leicestershire has launched an exciting new initiative to bring residents together for good food, great company, and a touch of nostalgia. The newly introduced Residents’ Pub Club takes place monthly at The Horse and Hounds, the home’s very own pub located on the first floor, offering a true taste of a traditional British pub experience.
At the club’s inaugural gathering, residents tucked into a mouth-watering selection of dishes, including Mediterranean chicken and Slow-cooked beef served with triple-cooked chips. The meal was such a hit that resident Cynthia even requested a take-out bag to enjoy her leftovers for dinner!

The event was made even more special with the presence of Paul Bundyford, Home Manager, who joined residents in raising a glass to this fantastic new tradition. The Pub Club promises to be a much-loved addition to life at Moat House, giving residents the opportunity to socialise, reminisce, and enjoy hearty pub fare in a warm and welcoming setting.
“We’re always looking for new ways to enrich the lives of our residents,” said Paul. “The Pub Club is a great way to bring people together, share memories, and enjoy some fantastic food in a relaxed, familiar environment.”
With the next gathering already eagerly anticipated, the Residents’ Pub Club is set to become a firm favourite at Moat House Care Home. Cheers to many more good times ahead!
