Moat House Care Home’s Make A Wish Program Fulfils Resident’s Dream Visit to Historic Bletchley Park

The Make A Wish Program at Moat House Care Home has once again brought a dream to life, this time for a resident, June Cole (93). The program recently facilitated her first visit to the historic site of Bletchley Park, allowing her to explore the war memorabilia, artifacts, and equipment that hold a prominent place in her unique history.

The resident, who has long been fascinated by Bletchley Park’s pivotal role in World War II codebreaking, was thrilled to finally step foot in the iconic location. Her visit included a comprehensive tour of the grounds, giving her the opportunity to see firsthand the machines and documents that contributed to the Allied war effort.

“It was an incredible experience to visit Bletchley Park,” she said. “Seeing the war memorabilia and artifacts brought back so many memories and made me feel connected to an important part of our history. I am deeply grateful to the Make-A-Wish Program and Moat House Care Home for making this possible.”

Bletchley Park, known for its crucial contributions to breaking the German Enigma code, is a site of immense historical significance. For the Moat House resident, this visit was not only a journey into the past but also a personal pilgrimage, reconnecting her with the stories and legacies that have shaped her own life.
