When it comes to training, our aim is to create a workforce of trained, friendly and caring teammates who deliver a consistent service to residents. This is supported with:

• a quality induction programme

• a dedicated Training Manager

• an on-going care assistant mentoring scheme

• a mix of e-learning and face to face training sessions

• regular activity-based group training sessions

• Care Certificate for those without experience

• NVQ 2-5 courses identified for those capable and willing

• Specialist dementia care training delivered to all (not just care assistants but anyone who comes into contact with residents)

• access to support materials including handy ‘How to’ videos and succinct user guides

• frequent assessment and monitoring

• accredited external training and qualifications
