Derby-based care home, Kiwi House has been announced as a finalist in two categories in the national Care Home Awards.
Newly opened Kiwi House, which offers affordable luxury living with high standards of personalised care, has been shortlisted in the prestigious Care Home Awards both for its architecture and design and also in the best individual care home category.
The Care Home Awards, which aim to establish the annual benchmark of excellence and innovation for UK care home management, operation and delivery, received thousands of entries from care homes and care home groups across the UK.
Kiwi House Manager, Debra Meynell commented: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted in two categories of the national Care Home Awards. These awards tease out brilliant examples of both care homes and outstanding suppliers to the sector, so just being shortlisted is a fantastic achievement for everyone at Kiwi House.”
With facilities including a cinema, pub, hair salon and shop, the purpose-built, luxury care home has been designed to genuinely meet the needs of its residents. Small suites with communal lounges and lifestyle kitchens offer residents the chance to see the same familiar and friendly faces everyday with a dedicated care team always there to support and look after residents’ health and wellbeing.
Dave Lock, Adept Care Homes Managing Director added: “We’re very proud of all our 7-midlands based homes but this is great news for Kiwi House in particular. The awards really reflect the finest in our sector and being shortlisted gives due recognition to the hard work that goes into making all of our homes a superb place to live and work.”
Winners will be revealed at a special ceremony, taking place in London in May this year.
