There were smiles, laughter and plenty of celebrations at Chetwynd House Care Home as resident Violet Groom marked an incredible milestone — her 100th birthday.

Violet enjoyed a truly special day surrounded by those closest to her, celebrating with family and friends in Chetwynd House’s welcoming on-site pub. The occasion brought together loved ones and staff to honour a century of memories, stories and achievements.
The care home was filled with a joyful atmosphere as everyone gathered to mark Violet’s remarkable birthday. With decorations, warm wishes and plenty of laughter, the celebration was a fitting tribute to such an important milestone.
Family members and friends joined Violet throughout the day, sharing memories and raising a toast to her long and happy life. The relaxed pub setting at the home made the celebration even more special, giving everyone the chance to spend quality time together and create new memories.
Team at Chetwynd House said it was a privilege to help Violet celebrate her centenary and ensure she had a day to remember.
