Chetwynd House Launches ‘Ladies of Chetwynd House’ Group: A Tribute to Community and Charity

Residents at Chetwynd House Care Home in Chilwell, Notts, recently celebrated with the launch of their new community philanthropy group, the launch of ‘Ladies of Chetwynd House’. Akin to a Women’s Institute group, comprising the remarkable women residing within the care home, this group symbolises camaraderie, empowerment, and community spirit.

At their inaugural meeting, the ladies designed a unique club badge and received certificates of initiation, showcasing their commitment and enthusiasm. Each member brings a wealth of skills and experiences, enriching the group’s dynamics.

In light of recent events and the passing of a beloved member of the team to cancer, the ladies have decided to host their first event – a Marie Curie Coffee Morning and Bake Sale on Thursday, 21st March, starting at 10 AM.

The decision to support Marie Curie on their first event was unanimous, reflecting the profound impact cancer can have on everyone. The event will be open to friends, family, and the local community, with proceeds directed towards Marie Curie’s invaluable work.

To ensure a memorable event, residents will participate in cake decorating lessons beforehand, adding a personal touch to the delicacies on offer. Additionally, team, families, and friends are encouraged to contribute by baking for the bake sale, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.

The ‘Ladies of Chetwynd House’ exemplify the spirit of compassion and generosity, and their efforts to support worthy causes reflect their unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
