1st February 2018: On Dignity Action Day today, residents at Chilwell’s luxury Chetwynd House Care Home, spend time talking about what dignity means to them.
Thoughts on what dignity means ranged from ‘being listened to’ to ‘keeping my pride’ and ‘staying an individual’.
Dave Lock, Adept Care Homes Managing Director commented: “Dignity is a key part of our culture at all our homes. We pledge to ensure residents and our wonderful care team are treated with respect and dignity everyday, but today provided a great opportunity for everyone to really think about what it means to them. Many of our homes have a place where these thoughts are on display, such as beautifully decorated and hand-made trees, to serve as a constant reminder to us all to continually focus on dignity.”
