Good Hair Days at The Old Vicarage

Care Home Clay Cross Chesterfield

Hairdresser at the family-run Old Vicarage Care Home, Paul Gordon was surprised to see a familiar face when he returned to the home to continue his services as the resident hair stylist.

“There has been a few new residents lately and as I walked through the home to meet a resident to have their hair styled, I couldn’t believe who was walking towards me. I recognised him instantly. It was Geoff, I trained under him in the early 80’s, he taught me everything I knew” said Paul.

Paul trained as a hair stylist in the early 1980’s with Geoff himself, at the popular Geoff’s Hair salon in Alfreton. Everyone knew the salon in the local area and usually Geoff and his wife Julia by name.

Geoff and Julia have since retired and are both now residents at The Old Vicarage where Paul who was once Geoff’s trainee is now his very own stylist.

“It’s an honor to cut Geoff’s hair and I know he is happy to have his hair in safe hands” concluded Paul.
