The enthusiastic residents joined the community event on Saturday 21st March 2026, at Clay Cross Social Centre before heading out to help tidy up the local area.

Residents were joined by their partners, families, and friends for a romance-themed lunch, thoughtfully designed to celebrate love in all its forms. The dining room was filled with smiles and conversation as couples enjoyed the opportunity to share a meaningful meal together.


Residents from The Old Vicarage Care Home in Clay Cross were filled with festive cheer after taking part in the much-loved Adept Christmas Choir Competition, held at the beautiful St Catherine’s Church in Burbage.
The day was packed with laughter, music and Christmas magic as choirs from across Adept Care Homes came together to sing their chosen festive songs. The Old Vicarage choir delivered a joyful performance full of warmth and smiles — earning them the trophy for Best Small Choir.

The morning was a wonderful celebration of intergenerational connection, with babies, toddlers and residents sharing smiles, songs, playtime and touching moments that brought pure delight to everyone involved. The room buzzed with warmth as friendships formed naturally across generations.

The award recognises Adept Care Homes’ continued commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred dementia care through innovative practice, compassionate leadership and dedicated teams across its homes. Judges praised Adept for its forward-thinking approach, focus on meaningful engagement, and the positive impact its care has on residents and their families.
