Family-run, award winning Adept Care Homes, which owns Moat House in Burbage, has been recognised in the 2020 London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’.

The report is a celebration of the fastest growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the UK.

Dave Lock, managing director of Adept Care Homes, said: “We are entering our 35th year as a care home operator and this accolade is a great way to celebrate, recognising just how far we have come since we bought our first home in 1986. To be held up as an inspiration to others is fantastic, a testament to our reputation as a provider of quality residential and dementia care, dedicated care teams and engaging social programmes.”

He added that, since founding the company, he had always ensured that each home was somewhere he would be happy for his parents to live in. “My dad lives at one of our care homes in Leicestershire. I am so pleased, from a relative’s perspective, that he is comfortable and happy. The compassion and dedication of our team that I see first-hand has reinforced my pride in what we do making sure our homes are a superb place to live or work.”

Adept Care Homes owns seven care homes across the Midlands with its 8th home opening its doors in January 2021. The group promotes independence and respect, choice, privacy and dignity within its bespoke care plans, and uses a pioneering dementia approach to ensure residents retain their freedom by subtly stimulating social interaction. It values aptitude as much as qualifications when recruiting, providing on-going personal development for their team.
