Harrier House Care Home in Hucknall is set to fill its halls with love and laughter this Friday as it welcomes back its much-loved friends from Flying High Academy for a joyful Valentine’s Day celebration.
Since opening in May 2021, Harrier House has built a strong and treasured intergenerational relationship with the teachers and children, especially the Kindness Crew of Flying High Academy. What began as a community connection has blossomed into a heartwarming partnership filled with shared activities, learning, and friendship.

To mark Valentine’s Day, residents have been busy preparing thoughtful goodies for the children as a special thank you for their continued support and the happiness they bring into the home. The visit will be packed with fun, including Valentine’s crafts, creative activities, and plenty of themed sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.
The event promises to be full of smiles, storytelling, and special moments as different generations come together to celebrate kindness and connection. For residents, these visits provide meaningful engagement, spark fond memories of family life, and create a wonderful sense of energy throughout the home. For the children, it’s an opportunity to build friendships, learn from older generations, and experience the joy of giving back.
Harrier House is proud of the lasting bond it shares with Flying High Academy — a partnership that continues to grow, bringing warmth, laughter, and community spirit to all involved.
