A weekly nursery club with local parents at Moat House sees mums bringing their little ones to the home to play and interact with residents.
“It is good for both the children and the residents. Their visits make me feel happy” Veronica Tame, Moat House residents
Nicky French, Moat House Manager said: “It’s so wonderful to have the children come in to the home so regularly; they are not shy at all and happily speak and play with the residents. Our residents find it so rewarding and it shows that there are no age boundaries when it comes to making friends. The children bring their joy, laughter and innocence into the home and their visits encourage residents to share their own parental and sometimes childhood memories. It’s just so heart-warming to watch and is a fantastic way to ensure our residents continue to interact with our local community,”
