Residents at Kiwi House care home have praised the Care Quality Commission (CQC) after its recent inspection rated their home as ‘Good’.
“It’s nice for all of our carers hard work to be recognised by the professionals. It really is. Everyone here goes above and beyond, It’s like a family. Well done CQC for getting it right!” said Kiwi House resident Jenny Outon.
“I would like to say how pleased I am. The staff manage my care with great sensitivity and thoughtfulness. I couldn’t be more pleased for everyone,” said Kiwi House resident, Joyce Bonser
“I like it a lot here, it’s like a big family so yes, I’d say it’s very well deserved,” added fellow resident, Joyce Lloyd.
“Congratulations on your CQC good rating,” added Claire, daughter of a Kiwi House resident. “Kiwi House is lovely and my mum is very well looked after.”
Inspectors visited Kiwi House in an unannounced visit in June and spent time speaking with members of the care team, residents and their relatives.
Dave Godrich, Home Manager, added: “We are so pleased to have achieved this positive feedback from our industry inspectors. We are especially delighted with the feedback we’ve had about this from our residents, their relatives and our team, it’s all about them at the end of the day. The CQC report reiterates our commitment to providing a superb place to live and work for our residents and team.”
