Residents Revel in Refurbished Care Home

Residents have been revelling in their care home which is undergoing a £1million transformation.

“The place looks beautiful, I love everything about it” said Lidia Slevin.

“I can tell it’s been professionally and tastefully done” said Francis Burrell.

“I’ve lived at Bowood for 8 years and the change is staggering. I’ve always been happy here but now it’s even more lovely. I am very happy.” Said Connie Cund.

Family-run Bowood Court & Mews Care Home has completed the creation of new-look care suites as part of an on-going refurbishment project which has already seen resident rooms in Bowood Court redecorated with all new fixtures and fitting. Also included in the project is the creation of facilities such as a pub, balcony terraces and a salon, as well as resident room refurbishments at Bowood Mews which are already underway.

The new care suites are designed to give residents a more intimate level of care with residents to be cared for by the same familiar faces. Each care suite has large, tastefully decorated en-suite rooms and within the suite is a lounge and dining area with a lifestyle kitchen which allows residents to continue to do the things they have always done such as laying the table for dinner or simply making a cup of tea.

“We’re all immensely pleased with the work done on our refurbishment to date. This is a huge project and we have had so many comments from residents and visitors about being more like a luxury hotel. We’ve much more yet to do as part of our plans but it’s good to see the work so far is being so well received by residents, their relatives and our team” said Dave Lock, Adept Care Homes Managing Director.
