Team praised at Derby care homes

The care home team at Kiwi House and its sister home, Douglas Court in Derby have been highly commended for their commitment to the home and to the residents.

The Excellence Award, presented to the teams at the two homes, recognises the commitment to resident care, to the running of the homes and to the support they give to each other.

Managing Director, Dave Lock said, “We are very proud of the teams at Kiwi House and Douglas Court.  They are fully engaged with our vision and values and work exceedingly well together to help residents to live fulfilled and enriched lives for as long as possible.”

Emma Philpott, Operations Director said, “The homes have done an amazing job and provide a good quality of life for residents well into their later years and, by working as a team, we can achieve this more successfully.”

Kiwi House is a brand new state-of-the-art home and the team are dedicated to help new residents settle in.  Both Kiwi and Douglas Court teams have worked together to ensure that the transition of operating two homes in the Derby area has worked well.

Both homes have residents who turn 100 this month, and the teams have organised celebrations for the families.
