Douglas Court Care Home residents have once again shown their community spirit by lending a helping hand to Doorways, a local charity dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness.
Residents spent the day making fresh sandwiches for Doorways’ outreach efforts — an initiative the care home has proudly supported before. With aprons on and smiles all around, the residents worked together to prepare food that will be distributed to individuals in need across the community.
“Our residents truly love giving back,” said Activities Lead, Douglas Court. “Projects like this not only help support wonderful organisations such as Doorways, but also give our residents a real sense of purpose and connection. They’re always eager to make a difference.”
The partnership between Douglas Court and Doorways continues to grow, reflecting the home’s commitment to kindness, community engagement, and meaningful activity for residents.
