Residents from Chetwynd House Care Home were proud to take part in the Adept Christmas Choir Competition, enjoying a day full of festive music and joyful moments at St Catherine’s Church in Burbage.
The competition brought together choirs from across Adept Care Homes, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere filled with Christmas cheer. Chetwynd House impressed the judges with strong harmonies and heartfelt singing, earning the award for Best Vocal Choir.

Their joyful performance filled St Catherine’s Church with festive cheer, proving that even a small choir can create a big Christmas moment. Residents sang with confidence, smiles and plenty of sparkle, making it a win to remember.
“I got goosebumps singing in the church — it felt really special,” said one resident. “I was so proud of us all.”
After the performances, residents tucked into a traditional fish and chip lunch from Burbage Fisheries, before trophies were presented by Father Andrew and the Choir Master, rounding off a wonderful festive day.
Kenny Nelson, Managing Director for Adept, added:
“Music has such a powerful impact, and seeing residents shine like this is incredibly special.”
