Family Fundraising Hots up at The Knowles

Fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society is ‘hotting up’ thanks to one resident’s family at The Knowles Care Home Coventry.

Chris Clamp, whose father Geoffrey resides at The Knowles has created his own spicy hot sauce, ‘Clampy’s’ which is being made and sold to support Alzheimer’s Society and Cancer UK.

“Since my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I have become much more aware of the work of these charities and feel it’s important to do whatever we can to support the great work they do.

“I’ve been making my hot sauce for several years and all proceeds are split evenly to the charities. Having already raised over £500 via my justgiving page, I would like to reach £1000 by the end of the year, although I don’t really have an overall target in mind; I just want to help them make a difference. And for just £3 anyone who buys a bottle can help too, as well as adding a bit of zing to their dinner!”

The Knowles Care Home Manager, Lee Daly added: “We wholeheartedly support Chris with his mission to raise funds by selling his hot sauce. It’s a wonderful idea and great to see family members wanting to really get involved in issues and illnesses affecting our residents. Clampy’s sauce is pretty fiery but I’m sure not too hot for many to handle!”
