Residents at Douglas Court Care Home in Derby made waves recently as three ladies enjoyed a memorable Make A Wish experience with a special trip to the swimming pool.

Frances, Hazel and Joan chose swimming as their wish — embracing the opportunity to try something different, build confidence and most importantly, have fun. Their exciting outing took place at Victoria Park Leisure Centre, where they were supported by the Activities & Wellbeing Team throughout the experience.
From the moment they arrived, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and encouragement. For all three residents, the trip was not just about swimming, but about stepping outside their comfort zones and rediscovering a sense of freedom and achievement.
