The Breakfast Shift: Harrier House Care Home Thanks Local Heroes

Harrier House Care Home in Hucknall recently proudly welcomed local emergency service professionals to the home for a special Blue Light Breakfast, held as a heartfelt thank you for the dedication, compassion and ongoing support they provide to both the local community and the care home itself.

The event brought together residents, team members and representatives from local emergency services in a warm and welcoming environment, creating an opportunity to recognise the incredible work carried out every day by those working on the frontline.

Guests enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast while spending time chatting with residents and staff, sharing stories, laughter and experiences from within the community. The morning created a wonderful atmosphere of appreciation and connection, with residents particularly enjoying the opportunity to personally thank the individuals who help keep local people safe and supported.

The Blue Light Breakfast was organised not only to celebrate the tireless efforts of emergency service workers, but also to strengthen the valuable relationships between Harrier House and the wider professional care community. Many of these services work closely alongside the home throughout the year, supporting residents, responding in times of need and helping ensure the wellbeing and safety of everyone living there.
