Residents and team members at Moat House Care Home in Burbage came together in a heartfelt tribute to honour those who have served, joining forces with the Royal British Legion for this year’s Remembrance Service.


Despite this being the busiest month of the year for him, Old St. Nicholas has once again set aside time to visit residents, their families, friends, and members of the local community for a magical, memory-making morning at Chetwynd House.
This year’s much-loved Breakfast With Santa event will take place on Saturday 20th December, starting at 10:00am, at Chetwynd House Care Home, Slade Road, NG9 4GS.

Douglas Court Care Home residents have once again shown their community spirit by lending a helping hand to Doorways, a local charity dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness.

There was a special kind of warmth in the room when residents from Moat House Care Home visited Hinckley’s Singing Café this week — an atmosphere filled with soft laughter, familiar melodies and the gentle sound of tambourines. For the residents, these visits have become cherished moments that bring comfort, connection and a sense of togetherness.
As soon as the group from Moat House arrived at The Pathways Centre, they were welcomed by friendly faces and the uplifting energy the café is known for. Many residents eagerly took their seats, recognising the space instantly. For some, the Singing Café has become a highlight of their month — a place where they can step away from routine, enjoy music they love, and feel part of a wider community.

Residents from Kiwi House Care Home enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon of smiles, stories and marshmallow-toasting during a heartwarming visit to Landau Forte Moorhead Primary School. The outing celebrated the magic of intergenerational relationships — and proved once again that when older and younger generations come together, something truly special happens.
