Residents from Moat House in Burbage, Leicestershire, are celebrating after judges declared the care home the winner of Leicestershire’s first Twilight Games.

The home in New Road competed against six other county homes in everything from sitting volleyball and bean bag throwing to petanque, mini boccia and audio basketball over five days during the Olympics, and was presented with a champion’s shield this week.

Residents take to the streets of Burbage to raise £300 for the Alzheimer’s Society

On Saturday residents of Moat House care home in Burbage took to the streets on a 3-kilometre trek to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.  Despite a splattering of rain, residents persevered to finish the course with big smiles and satisfied grins.
